The social worker submitted her report and named me primary custodial parent!!!

I'm am SO EXCITED!!!

This explains why ex has been flipping out so much lately and telling me off at the drop of a hat. The report is on it's way to me in the mail so I haven't seen it yet but ex says it "a beaut" (sarcastically). I can't wait to see it!

I just wanted to share my happiness. This has made my entire week. I also got a letter in the mail from a scholarship I applied for, it said I am in the top 3% of 5000 essays and they asked permission to publish my essay. I'm not sure if they just do that for everyone to get people to buy their book, but it still made me feel good

It's been almost 2.5 years now. We had agreed to settle out of court many times, but ex would always lower the settlement amount (from the business we started together) right before we were going to sign. After he did that a few times I told him all negotiations were done and I got a lawyer (this was almost a year ago). Ex has been VERY slow to respond to things and drags everything out still. It's too bad for him because he could have settled over a year ago for WAY less than he'll end up paying and he could have saved legal fees and child support costs (I was asking for less in child support than I was awarded). His loss!

jillian i have been following your posts. your ex is sure something. glad you stood up and fought your way out. you are now reaping the benefits you richly deserve. hopefully everything goes off smoothly ... and if it doesnt hope you get double of what you suggested.
