Aw, it was incredible. I knew he was excited about the baby, but just seeing that joy on his face really made me believe it.
I've really prepped myself to be a single mama, but it's looking more and more like I won't be alone in raising this kid. Whatever happens in our relationship, he's a good man, and I'm glad he's the dad. Plus, he's 6'2" to my 5'2", so hopefully he'll pass on some nice tall genes.

Mine got tears in his eyes when he heard it on the doppler. I'm not married to mine's dad either, but he never left any room to wonder if he would be a fully involved dad or not.

He was so cute during the ultrasound, giving me the play by play since she had the screen facing away from me.

Guys are so cute when it becomes so real to them! I hope he will stick with you through all of this, but I know you'll be ok either way.

It will be our 5th baby, but DH still is in awe when he sees the little baby and its heartbeat.

I think it is a very good sign that your baby's father is excited about the ultrasound!! He sounds like a good dad on the making

I think so too because:
1. He's great with my puppy, eternally patient but firm when necessary;
2. He's really sweet and considerate to me;
3. He's nice/polite to waiters, children, strangers and telemarketers;
4. He's fairly responsible and together and very passionate about his job;
5. In his man's man, stoic way he's been very clear that he's thrilled about the baby and plans to be supportive, ever since the night I told him;
6. My friends all like him; and
7. He just told me he loves me.

(and not that this has anything to do with parenting, but he is damn good looking, I have to add.)
