Does anybody have a link to some more information about the Milk Cure described in the book The Untold Story of Milk? I'd like to give it a try (after I check to make sure our local raw milk dairy is using pasture-fed-only cows). I figured there must be some threads about it on this forum but I wasn't able to find any. Link me if you know of a good one.

My DH is interested in doing it as well, but he is on thyroid meds and is high risk for diabetes, so his naturopathic doc has him on a low carb diet. Eating nothing but milk (even kefired) wouldn't qualify as low carb. (The milk diet is supposed to be good for thyroid and diabetes though.) His doctor hasn't even heard of Weston Price so we can't really discuss this idea with her. Do you think we should contact the author of The Untold Story of Milk and have DH become his patient via phone consultations? The "about the author" section of the book says he does that. Hmm.

The books are here and free: milk cure. I would be concerned about the diet along with medication. In the MacFadden book, he talks about the diet increasing the strength of the meds. And while the diet was done thousands of times 100 years ago, it wasn't necessarily with meds.

The docs also started using it for diabetes but hadn't really treated many cases (or any) by the time those books were done. Apparently a doctor in the mid 1800s used it for diabetes but the milk was clabbered. Kefir could work, but you would probably want to work with a doctor.

I did the diet for a month and had good results. There were days that I was extremely tired. There are a couple of threads in this forum about the diet.

My mom did a milk diet for about 5 weeks, with occassional cheats due to social obligations. She was able to stop taking 10 pills a day!! She was on anti depressants and sleeping pills for chronic fatigue, high blood pressure pills and something for arthritis. She had also been told she was pre-diabetic. After 5 weeks she switched to a mostly TF diet with lots of raw milk still included. She has maintained her well being for about a year now and only starts to feel bad when she eats too much SAD.
It's amazing!

You could be lactose intolerant (in which case you could still drink "ripened" kefir), outright allergic to dairy (in which case even raw milk is out for you), or just reacting to processed milk products like homogenized/pasteurized milk. You may want to look into the root cause of your dairy problems. Or just avoid it altogether

Wow, I love this definition of food!!

The Milk Diet: How to Use the Milk Diet Scientifically at Home by Bernarr Macfadden, 1923.

CHAPTER II: WHEN TO USE THE MILK DIET

The function of food is to nourish. Food is any substance which, when taken into the body, will supply nourishment to the tissue, repair damaged tissue, and supply heat and energy, without producing any deleterious effects. Any substance which fails in any one or more of these specifications, is not a food and should not enter the body.
