It's completely normal in babies since they have something new in there and like to experience different sensations. I have no idea how to get it to stop though or when it normally stops. My dh grinds his teeth, and it is the most horrible thing! I can't sleep sometimes because of it!
aggghhh...yeah it sent shivers down my spine. DD did this when she got about 4 teeth to grind together....she did it for a few weeks, and then stopped, thank god. I couldn't think of any reasonable tactic to get her to stop either....I think you just have to wait 'til they get tired of that habit, sorry!
YES! My oldest DS used to do this. I would almost uncontrollably go "Blahglaljbuulaba!!" with my face all screwed up and hands waving by my face. hahaha. I finally realized that was just egging him on to get a rise out of mommy.

He eventually quit.
Ok I'm glad to hear that it eventually ends on its own (hopefully) My friends' 4year old still does it, so I was hoping there would be a method to have her cut it out. But since there isn't, I'll just try to ignore it and hopefully she'll drop it soon. Thanks.

My 10month old has 9 teeth, and I think she's getting more. But she now takes to grinding them, and its sending shivers down my spine. I have no idea how to get her to stop. Any ideas?
