Oh my god.

I put MT's crib in the Big Boys' Room this afternoon. He's been in there now for 45 minutes, working his hardest to keep T awake, giggling and throwing his stuffed animals out of the crib, shaking the rails and shreiking. Poor T might have to sleep on the floor in MT's old room tonight so he can get enough sleep. I knew it wouldn't be an easy transition, but oh. my. gosh.

When we transitioned dd into her own room, we just waited until she fell asleep and then put her in her bed.

Oh... wait... we still do that.

Jake never does well with new places to sleep. He won't have to share a room but we're going to be moving soon to a new house and I completely dread the disaster that I am sure it is going to be. I just hope we move soon so will be comfortable with his new space before the baby gets here (military housing so we just have to wait until they say our number is up).

How did things end up going? Did he settle down? Maybe your older ds could sleep elsewhere for a few nights until MT gets used to the room and then your older ds could move back in??

They both finally feel asleep about 8:45, which I know isn't late for many of you, but MT is usually in bed at 7 and asleep by 7:30, and Tim in bed at 7:30 and asleep pretty much right away. Of course, MT woke at 6:05 this morning, which means Tim got 15 minutes less morning sleep as well. I'm anticipating a few cranky days, but I'd rather do it now than closer to when Baby is due. They did have fun together, but T said this morning "Mummy, Mark Thomas wouldn't leave me alone last night he's such a pest".

One interesting note though - T is always up twice each night to pee, and he ends up turning his overhead light on and sleeps with it on after about 3am. he didn't get up at all last night, not even to pee.
