Ok I'm beating a dead horse here.
I think this is the 4th thread I've started obsessing over being post dates.

Hey, I have to have something to do here!! House is clean, pantry is stocked, I'm ready ready ready. I can only think of so many things to occupy me.

So, since those of us who are left are now expecting December babies, lets keep checking in until we all have babies in our arms....not in our bellies!!

Roll call...

Me, Amy 41+2

Had increased BH yesterday but nothing to get me too excited. Expected to wake up in the night thinking "this is it"....as I do EVERY night at this point.

History:
ds1 came at 42+1 after castor oil, 52 hrs of labor and a hospital transfer. Couldn't push out his cocked sideways head due to being numb and tired....csection. 10lbs 15"head
D2 homebirthed VBAC at 40+2 days, 8hrs of active labor also sporting a cocked sideways 15"head and 8.12lbs.
Baby 3....WTF??? Why so late I have no clue. I am just glad I have birthed a good sized baby with a big head already. I don't think heads get to be THAT much bigger...do they

What's your story??

I'm here, 40+3. Not much going on, I have a prenatal in a couple of hours and I'm going to have the midwife check me. I tend to be dilated about 3-4 centimeters soon before I go into labor. We shall see.

Still here too! 40+4, had some bad cramps and bh that I felt really really low, not just on top, but nothing. Everyone and their mother keeps asking me silly questions or saying little comments about they cant believe I am this far along and not being induced or something. DD choir teacher actually stopped choir to ask dd if mom was here today, when she said yes and pointed to me, choir teacher then starts talking about it in front of everyone there. Everyone staring at me, a couple people saying "Geez". I was so
. One lady asked if I see my doctor everyday now. When I said no, my mw only wants to see me once a week, she says really!?! Thats strange. Is there something wrong when you go this far past your due date? I have never gone this far and now I am worried. With dd my water broke at 36.5 wks, with ds1 I had health conerns and was induced 1 week early, with ds2, I lived an hour away from the hospital and the mw wanted me to be safe than sorry, so she induced me a week early again. Now I worry that my uterus just wont know what to do w/o pit. I am so ready for my homebirth!

40+4 and I think my DH is getting tired of me crying every day that baby is NEVER going to come and that I'm going to be pregnant FOREVER.

I've never gone this far over before. For at least a month now I've been feeling tremendous cervical pressure, and walking anywhere hurts a lot, nearly all the time. My cervix seems to be nearly fully effaced, but only dilated to about 1-2 max. Cervix is total mush - I can't even imagine how it's holding anything in there at this point!!

40+5 here. im getting tired and worn down, but i keep trying to remind myself that this is a temporary situation, my last pg, baby will come when s/he is ready. you know, all the crap that we tell ourselves to get us through!
i am ready though. i intend to have this baby on saturday. i have plans for wed, thur and friday, so saturday is good.
we CAN plan these things, right?

yesterday was so magical. i was calm and peaceful and actually got some stuff done. today i am cranky and emotional. been having a few contrx off and on. when i get them i imagine my cervix opening. can't hurt, right!

I'm afraid my clean house and overall readiness might be part of the problem. I keep trying to present opportunities for labor to catch me off guard but it's not working.

Ok, I actually went grocery shopping today and actually hoped for my water to break while I was there. That is usually the dreaded scenario...but not for me!!

wait, what??? she fired you for being over 40 weeks? really? did you get all your money back or what?

also, have you considered UC? not for everyone, i realize, but thought i'd throw that out there. big huge hugs for the abrupt change in your plans. not fun, or helpful at all!!

Usual lurker here

41 +2 days and trying to be patient and only somewhat succeeding. lol

My other kids were at 41 +4, 42+5 and 42, so really I shouldn't be expecting anything for a couple of days.

After a scare last friday and five hours in the hospital for bleeding I am feeling fortunate that they weren't able to find anything serious and at this point am still okay for homebirth. Just no eagerly awaiting a new little one.

Well
I live on an island with no midwives. She was the only traveling one I could find, she was here for a week and then decided to go home today. Ive been really upset all day since this has been my plan since July. Ive felt really pressured the past few days because I could tell she was ready to leave finally today I let her check my cervix even though I didnt want and I guess I am hardly effaced so she said she was just going to go home.
Yea Im still mad. I paid for both ways of her plane ticket but I refuse to pay for anything else since she didnt not do the service that was promised. Im really bummed. I had been looking forward to this so much and just feel so robbed. My hubby is too afraid of an u/c and Im also a bit scared of tearing since I had a forced episiotomy with my dd or I totally would.

Huh?? Seriously, she dumped you just for going 5 days over? What is the deal with that? Im so sorry you are facing a big change in plans. That must be pretty stressful...just what you need to get a baby out

So glad to see another 41+ weeker.
It's good for me to see other mamas who gave birth past 41 and 42 weeks. We are both long gestaters I guess. Makes it no easier to deal with though.

Today I am 41+3. MIL comes into town on Friday, not staying with us though. Ugh. I was so hoping to have the baby before she got there. She's going to want to be involved too much for me I'm afraid. I have no problems puting my foot down but it's just much easier to have her across the Atlantic.

she should have been responsible and talked about this possibility with you. good for you on holding out on paying any more.

on the UC front, i hope you don't. have SOMEONE there who can assist if something goes wrong. my labor was perfect until the last minute or so. ds kinked his cord on the way out and needed CPR to bring him back. i ended up loosing a lot of blood when i birthed the placenta b/c i was hovering over ds instead of sitting or laying down after. i had no risk factors going in and there was no warning ahead of time. strong heartbeat up until the end. situation turned on a dime.

not trying to scare you, but the point is you never know. have a safety net, just in case.

Still here...
41+4. I am 1 cm dialated. All u/s have looked good.
DD#1...went into labor at 12 days past duw, had her after 42 hrs of labor (exactly 2 weeks late) C/S due to never getting past 4 cm dialated.

Trying for VBAC... I kinda have till Friday (maybe Sunday which would be 42 +1) and then they have scheduled me for C/S at 3:30pm Friday.

I have been sick for 5 days w/ some weird 'flu like' bug. Starting to feel better. Had contractions all night Sunday into Monday and some last night. Also last wed. night.....it has got me to ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We'll see...it does not feel very encouraging having a STOP date...no labor by Friday afternoon then I have to go under the knife. I am trying not to think about it.

Sending LABOR vibes to everyone. Good Luck,
Brenda

Anyone dropped out of this miserable club?

Anyone have anything interesting happening?

I THINK I may be loosing my plug. I have never seen it in my last 2 pregnancies so I'm not sure. Just a light brown/yellowy+some egg white looking gelatinous small stretchy blob. What is that? Yeah I know if it is part of the plug it can still be weeks...not for me though, surely!! I'm 41+4 today. There is no "weeks" left...only days at this point...cummon!!!

Updates...???

41+5 today for me.
Last night I had trouble going to sleep for the first time really ever this pg. Then awoke at 3am with a contraction of "a different nature". It was followed by alot of movement by the baby and a few BHs...all of which are unusual for middle of the night. Of course I was super excited about the feel of that contraction and I had a hard time sleeping from that point on.
Took a nap today, hoping I'll need the stored energy for some activity tonight!!

MIL gets into town tonight. I was so hoping to not have her here for this. Not HERE though, she stays with her mother thank god!! She's just a worry mongerer and I'm not going to speak with her until 24 hrs after baby arrives. SIL has her silly bday party tomorrow and I'm opting out. Don't want to hear anyone's lip!!

UPDATES???

Im at 41+1 and feeling fine. I was so sure labor was starting last night but the fact that I had only had 2 hours of sleep made me go back to sleep and when I woke up at 4:30 they werent so bad any more. Having regular contractions but still not getting intense.

Still here. Today I am 41 wks. Feeling alot of pressure so much so it is uncomfortable to walk. The baby keeps moving and it feels like it is pushing very hard on my cervix, hurts like heck. Some contractions and cramping, nothing special though.
