...has been the half of a can of chick peas I juste ate! At 11 weeks pregnant, NOTHING appeals to me and I have been feeling really icky for 5 weeks now. But for some reason, when I opened the cabinet, the chick peas popped out. This is the second tolerable source of protein for me so far (cheese is the only other) so I am glad.

Which food have you most enjoyed eating during this pregnancy? (With #1, btw, I enjoyed eating EVERYTHING! from the start)

I didn't want to eat anything but salads in my first pregnancy. This time, I was more tolerant of food in my first trimester, although I still experienced morning sickness. I am now 33 weeks, and I have completely lost my appetite. I do not get nauseous, I just do not feel hungry so I have to remind myself to eat throughout the day.

In my first trimester I craved sushi, Pad Thai, Thai spring rolls, lemonade, and berries... I also had some pasta w/ marinara sauce cravings at least 2 x a week. Everything else made me gag!
Now that I am in the 2nd trimester I don't have any major carvings, but am having a difficult time w/ the protien issue. Normally I am a big protien eater, but I am turned off by all meat, most fish, nut butters, eggs, and tofu...
I normally do not eat dairy but have been eating goat cheese, some beans, soy milk, and occassional sea food (shrimp, scallops, crab, etc).

Fruit! I guess w/each preg. that's been the one constant. W/the last two preg's, I love sour stuff--pickles, pickled jalepenos, sour Korean soup, salt and vinegar chips, limes, etc.

Watermelon is big on my list and has been w/all three pregnancies, too. Luckily this time, it's prime melon season here in Socal.
