finally after 20 months i started getting AF again, but now a few days before and during AF my nipples are so sore I can hardly nurse my baby. i just want to cry and usually have to stop the session early as it is so painful if i go too long.
and he is now in that "i am two but need to nurse like a newborn" phase that all my children did. any advice?

Oh, ouch. This happened to me too, and it was so disheartening. But I can tell you that it only lasted for three months, and now when I get AF it's no big deal. So the only advice I have, unfortunately, is tough it out for a couple of months and it should get better. Good luck!

I agree. It did not last too long, tho I don't remember how many months. With me it was exacerbated by a dip in supply (so DD was nursing more roughly) so I drank mother's milk tea and ate oatmeal to up the supply to help that issue. It will get better!!
