Dh said to me yesterday - I think you'll have the baby on Sunday. So, this morning I spit at him - Yea, NOTHING'S HAPPENING! LOL. Oh well. That's okay, I've got to get all the kid's school supplies today - plus, we're going to let them pick out their "first day of school" outfits today. They love doing that. I've been in denial that dd is actually starting school a week from tomorrow!

I'm convinced this baby will end up being a September baby. I would love nothing more than to give FIL a new grandchild for his birthday today, but I really don't see that happening. Maybe she's waiting for her daddy's bday on August 24th. He was 6 weeks late, so MIL can relate.

Sigh, I noticed that too. I feel like crap today, my stomach hurts and I'm just worn out tired, and neither of those has been usual for this pg...so I'm deluding myself that maybe I'll go into labor today. Fingers crossed, but I'm definitely not having contractions so I think I'm out to lunch on that one!

I'm not even thinking of the July babies who haven't come yet...

I wasnt even thinking about Sept babies beating us!
I hope they are all healthy!
No October babies yet are there?

I figure i should at least pop by Auguest 31st. That's 42 weeks and 2 days.
I hope so anyway!

When they told me last week that I could potentially go to the first week of September, I just about cried. Then at my m/w appointment this week when they told me I was only allowed to go to 41 weeks and thus my induction date, if necessary, would be the 26th, I got mad for a totally different reason!
:

Why only 41? That's the lead-off question I'm asking at this week's appointment, which happens to take place on my EDD. I SOOO hope I don't make it to that appointment.

Yes, it's my first. And it's weird - up to that appointment, everything i'd experienced from this m/w practice had been super. They practice collaboratively, 6 MDs and 10 CNMs, so you wind up seeing a different person almost every time. The mw who told me I could only go to 41 weeks - I had never seen her before and didn't feel all that comfortable with her, so I'm definitely going to express my displeasure at my upcoming appointment. I'm not about to get something forced on me that I don't want - I'm not really the type to just go along with things because the doctor says so. And I've told them from the get-go that I absolutely want to avoid the vicious pit/epi/section circle.

It was the way she put it: "At your next appointment you can go ahead and schedule your induction date for the 26th - you know, to save the day, in case you wind up needing it."

Wha?

I hear you! people keep telling me I'll go early, too. Friends of mine on their second baby have gone at leats a week early. I just have to let go of the idea that I'll go early and accept that going on the EDD is good enough - better than really late! August 20th - one week! being pregannt the last month is harder than all the others combined. But as we wait now and time seems to have stopped, it'll all be forgotten once we hold our babies!!!
