Is the fuzzy side or the smooth side supposed to be facing out? Mine have the fuzzy side facing out and it repels badly. Nothing gets through. However, if I turn it inside out and stuff it and pour water on it, it goes right through. So are these sewn wrong?

I've used them, and washed them, only about 5 times. They worked good the first couple of times, but they do not work anymore. I've never used creams of any type, so it couldn't be coated. I tried stripping them but it didn't work. Considering they've only been washed a few times detergent build-up didn't seem likely, but I stripped anyway. I only have two Wonderoos and neither one works properly. I do have FBs and have never had a problem.

Any ideas?
Thanks, Shari

The fuzzy side is supposed to be the part that touches your baby's bum (I'm assuming this means facing out!)

As for repelling issues..... i'm totally out of ideas... I hope another mama can help!!

I've never had luck with wonderoos myself. I want to like them, they just seem to always leak for us. I think it is because DS is a fast pee-er and the inner doesn't absorb as fast as fleece.

oht here...
Honestly, i think it might take alot of washes to make it absorb quickly, mine leaked for a bit in the begining, but i only had 5, so i washed them 2x's a day! Now they absorb quickly. But i own both the old kind and the new kind, and i like the suedecloth on the old ones MUCH better. it is softer and never pills, whereas the new stuff pills almost right away.

--good luck,
Thank you for the reassurance that they are sewn right. I had given up on them after a couple of times of wetness just leaking out and just put them in the drawer. I decided to get them out and "make" them work.

I stripped them. Rinsed with vinegar. And now I'm letting them dry after trying Dawn.

Thank you all for responding. I read here all the time and you are always so helpful to people. I did e-mail the lady from Wonderoos, and the lady I bought them from. So maybe they'll be able to provide some info too.

Thanks again, Shari
