a mom was told that she HAD to cover up, and was handed a towel. the mom retorted "i do not have to" (a law was recently passed specifically protecting bf in our state
)this isn't the first time it has happened at this one, it is just the first time that i have known the mama personally.

this mama is a very modest person to begin with, and i know she wouldn't have just taken her shirt off or anything to nurse. with he rolder kids, she had used a coverup to nurse, but her youngest little guy will not be covered, so she doesnt even try anymore. i can't say i blame him, it is hot down here, i wouldnt wanna eat with a blanket or towel on my head.

i am hoping she'll post it here herself, instead of me trying to relay the info, and possibly getting something incorrect.

At least she stood her ground! The more women do that, the more people are going to realize that nursing is normal, natural, and isn't going anywhere. Good for that mama for knowing her rights. Shame on the YMCA!

That's annoying.

I work for the YMCA here in Australia, and I use their facilities often. You can often find me bf'ing in the pool, and no-ones ever said boo to me about it. If that happened at my YMCA & I found out about it I'd be taking some action...writing a few letters, speaking to my bosses, etc.
