my 16 month old has begun pitching the hugest fits if he is not able to play with my other nipple while he is nursing. he insists that both breast be uncovered so that he can switch back and forth. this would not be that bad, but he holds on to the free nipple while he nurses and tries to pull it off (feels like it anyway). Sometimes especially when he is trying to go to sleep he takes his foot and smooches my nipple between his foot and hand. If i try to put the breast he is not nursing on away he begins flapping around and screaming. which does not help me to get him to sleep. it also makes it harder to nurse in public. i have never really been shy about exposing my breast or anything like that but it is awkward to have both of them sticking out.
