They carried me - I have proof!

My parents took a trip to San Antonio when I was a month old to visit family.

Look they "carried" me!

And my mom thinks it's difficult for me to carry my daughter

that´s cool that you were carried, but the bigger question is Where can I get some of those thongs

i had to save the pic and rotate it first
: then lol i asked my mom and she says that it is just like the carseats it has a handle that you carry the bassinet around with and it has a wire under it to prop up the baby more on a angle when it is not being carried

Did it strap to the body or was it strictly a carry by hands thing?
I *think* it's like the carseat carrier thingies. It's a cool look back.
Somebody gave me one of those when I had my first son and expected me to use it as his primary car seat!!!! No effing way!!
If your Mom thinks your carrier works like her old carrier, I can see why she tells you carrying is hard!

Your picture makes me think: I love having a baby in this day. There is so much available to me - not necessarily new things but things that I don't think were available to my Mom. Like really comfortable carriers. And the Mothering Forums where I can share ideas with other mothers with similar interests. A lot of people say it is a scarier world now - maybe it is but there are also freedoms and choices that my parents didn't have. My mom was pressured into bottle-feeding me and was not conscious for my birth. I was supported when I started breast feeding, and fully conscious to welcome my DS at his birth. And now I have a wonderful soft-cloth sling to keep him close and happy for as many hours of the day as he wants.

I'm right there with you. I have the ability to research things and receive alternative pov now that my mom didn't ever get. We are truly blessed.
