Thirsties sizing

731 Views 6 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  KensJen
Well, I haven't ventured over here to Diapering in awhile, my DD has mostly used diapers/covers that were my DS's. But I do need a couple of covers for her and thought I'd try a Thirsties.

How does the sizing run? Maybe compared to Proraps? Just wondering if they run small/large/TTS before I order.

Thank you!

I think Thirsties run large, whereas Proraps run small.
i would say that a med prorap = a small thirsties and then the bummis would be in the middle. my daughter weighs close to 19 lbs and still very comfortabley fits in the small thirsties (she is on the taller/leaner side rather than small and chubby). i used the nb prorap til she was about 12ish lbs then the small prorap for a few more lbs and have been using the small thirsties since. she can still fit into her small polar bummis but i cant get a big prefold in there anymore for nightime like i can with the thirsties cover.

hope that helps

humm wow I feel the opposite I mean about proraps the ones I had always were at least a size bigger than other wraps in the same size. Like when she went to a large Bummi SWW she was still well into the medium Prorap.
Thirsties are our favorite covers on our 13lb DD, and with a premium prefold, they fit her fine for now. I would say they are true to size or a little on the small size. She outgrew the x-sm between 10-11 lbs, but they are sized to last until 12 lbs.

yes...but i think the prorap small lasts till 12lbs - so the xs thirsties would equal sm proraps.

but im sure it depends on the way your baby is built.

Thank you so much for all of the replies, it helps a lot. I think a medium will be perfect for my DD, and I was going to order a large before posting here...so you all definitely helped.
