Seriously! And then there's this:

Quote:
* internation bidders pay $35!!
*Winner pays $15 S&H
*paypal and bidpay only. Due within 3 days
*I have the right to cancel any bids from bidders with negative feedback.
*NO RETURNS~ email me if you have any questions!I hold the right to cancel the item early if it doesnt reach the price i am willing to sell it at. Thanks
*Winner must pay within 3 days of auction end & no payment will result in negative feedback! i will not hesitate!
Ugh.

You can't do that can you? Isn't that against ebay rules? I mean then make a reserve price and pay the fees like the rest of us do.

She's listed it like that so she doesn't have to pay higher fees...she wants to get her money without paying Ebay a higher pecentage of the "winnings".

Anyhoo...
I don't see what's so special about it?
Kinda ugly, IMO.
Looks like something I could go to Wal-Mart and buy for $8.95.

AND...
Why is it a "private" auction?
Whole thing is just weird to me! :LOL

i'm with lori...i dont even like the bag.
what a strange auction.
Wow -- that is strange! And did you read her feedback? All of the negative ones say things like "psycho-ebayer" "crazy" and "chill out!"

Doo-doo, doo-doo... *insert twilight zone music here*

ps, yea, it's kinda ugly too
lori ITA with everything you said. also, if i'm going to pay $60+ for a diaper bag its going to be a cute one from either sally spicer, solana bags or krista's bags. not something that looks like my old corduroys. lol
ugh very odd. ugly bag, reminds me of a really ugly sport coat with those goofy leather elbow pads
does sound kinda psycho to me :LOL

In all fairness, she does say

my negative feedbacks are from sore non-paying bidders~ i gave them a feedback they deserved, and they of course MUST relialiate by returning a negative. Even though this happens, i refuse to compromise because i think other should know and beware how certain people will behave after they have won an auction. Thanks.
So I guess that's both sides of the story. Still doesn't make me agree with her auction terms though, she must be anal, what withthe way she carefully picks out her items to sell! And then this:

Quote:
( just remember...I never use billpoint AKA ebay payment, if you forget, you will have to pay the fee that billpoint charges me)~
Yep, she's trying to wiggle her way around those eBay fees for sure! Granted, ebay fees are why I also avoid the billpoint, don't start anything over 9.99, and don't put reserves on items.
You know, she is violating the rules of eBay by being a tightwad, and then saying that ppl 'deserve' negative feedback. I think SHE deserves some negative feedback for violating the rules! Especially since it creates such a negative environment for the buyer. I mean, does she want ppl to bid on it or not!?

You know, DH and I have used ebay in the past for many things, but I have seen some weird listings when it comes to dipes. Beyond the selling of strange and old sposies on ebay, the shipping costs on CLOTH are just crazy!
:

I wonder if anyone will bid on this?

And what the heck is a dutch auction?
: Does that mean the bid price of $2 is per item (ie so if there are 5 offered total cost is $10?)

I'm confused. Why is this a private auction? I thought that was for things you'd be embarassed to bid on publicly!? And what makes it a diaper bag? There's no changing pad, and no compartments, and it doesn't look at all waterproof!

I think it's a nice looking handbag -- a little bit retro perhaps, and understated. The high shipping and all her "rules" would keep me from bidding, if I were in the market. It doesn't look like that's hurting the auction, though. It's gone up since earlier today.

Dictionary Girl says:
Dutch auction -- (n.) In ebayland, when a seller has multiples of the same item, so there can be more than one winner. All winners pay the same price.

I had an auction once that was for an expensive item, we did it private to protect the buyers. It just seemed polite with a high priced item.
I also thought the bag was ugly.

Also- ugly IMO- and why would she have more than 1? Egads.........

It's not that expensive though? Unless the bidding went up since the last time I looked. Oh well. To each his/her own.
