The US military has fired over 416 TONS of depleted uranium in Iraq since the first Gulf War. The stuff has a half-life of 4.5 BILLION years and is 60 percent as radioactive as natural uranium. Soldiers will come home suffering health effects from it. And hundreds of thousands of Iraqi people will have to live in a radioactive toxic enviornment. Whether you believe in the war or not, this is not acceptable material to use to fight it, IMO.
