Seeing that many of us are close to the finish line and some have already crossed it, I think it is a good time to start doing weekly check ins.

I'm going every week now... and here is my update...

Well today I'm still 1cm but 75%

According to:
my LMP I'm due April 16th
Date I O'ed April 14th
and the U/S April 11th.... I think I'll go by this date :

I've gained 2lbs in 1 week! Really only in ummm....5 days!

I had some extra sugar in my pee... But she didn't seem to worried about that.

I feel so sick today too. No idea where I'm at. Maybe I'll get checked at my Friday home visit when we do the GBS test?

I've never felt this much action this early and for this long in previous pregnancies. A friend who is a physician suggested yesterday that maybe I'll just have a fast labor if I don't go earlier than 40... Fine by me!

I'm due somewhere between the 14th and the 17th... I'll take the earlier date, same as you.

I'm trying to use this last bit of time to fatten him up, though I'm sure he doesn't really need it. Yesterday, I made nachos with chicken and black & pinto beans...Besides the sour cream, cheese, tomatoes on top... I think I ate a whole, huge avocado all by myself. I'm itching to go have the other one now.

I've been nauseous/gagging a lot this week, too. Not sure if it's sign, but I'll take that, too.

At last check, I was 3 cm and 90%. I have been doing the whole "system cleanout" thing all week, and the b/h are driving me CRAZY. (I think some of them are "real" with the back pain, cramping, lasting 30 seconds, blah blah blah, but I don't want to get any hopes up.)
I have a RCS scheduled for 3/31 (if she doesn't decide to come before then.) I am okay with doing some early labor because that tells me that the baby is getting ready, and MAYBE her eviction won't be quite so traumatic for her system.:
My family all left town today for Easter weekend. My Grandma, my parents, my DH's parents. I think it would be fun to "ruin" their weekend by having this baby

Yeah I think I'm having some real contractions mixed in with the Bx... at least that's what I'm telling myself. All these things can't be "fake" can they

Well I don't have my next checkup until next Wednesday where I'm sure he'll want to do a cervix check. I've been checking myself periodically and I am high and very soft and maybe a fingertip from what I can tell.
I'm due right around the 20th according to my calculations, lots of braxton hicks and achy back but no mucous plug yet. She's definitely dropped though, it's very obvious that she's not as high as she used to be and she was head down at my appt last week.
DH is still in Iowa and will be until at least next Wednesday so she has to stay put at least until then so he doesn't have to try and make flight arrangments and get home in too big of a hurry. I'll be 37 weeks in a week and a half and after that she's welcome to come any time

I got checked last week at my 36 week appointment and was told that I had softened but wasn't dilated. I don't think he has dropped either, but I don't think I would know what that feels like anyway. His head is in my bladder and his feet and butt are wedged in my ribs. I'm uncomfortable and ready to be done. I'll be 37 weeks on Friday, that sounds like great timing to me

Somehow I think I'll still be hanging out here for another month. I have until April 18th at the latest and then I will have to have a RCS. I'm really hoping to go into labor before then!

My midwife is out of town this week (she's confident I won't go early, haha!), so I get to skip my weekly exam. We don't do cervical checks, but otherwise there is nothing going on. I have fewer BH than I used to, go figure. Major heartburn, but nothing labor-related. After much bathroom acrobatics, I did finally manage a self-check today, and while I am high and soft, I'm not dilated. That's unusual for me- usually I'm 2 cm at 36 weeks and we're at 37 now. I probably have almost 4 more weeks to go!

I had an appt today but I wouldn't let them check me. I want to know but He will come when he's ready I am sure.

I guess I could try to check myself but I have no idea what I am checking... I know he's dropped quite a bit but thats it... Oh and I am due between March 28th and April 1st depending on whose dates you go by.

Had an appointment today! No dialating or anything...which is just fine with me--I have a tiny trip planned to see my family next weekend so I'm A-OK with this baby staying put for at least another 2 weeks!

I had to switch midwives last minute (change in insurance, long story with that one) anyway, I have my first appointment with the new midwife on Friday so I guess I will have more of an idea of what is going on then!! I AM going to be having a little talk with her about my dates though... another long story there I hope something starts happening soon!!!

I really have nothing going on in the dilation department. I was checked last week. I was told baby is still way up high and she freaked me out telling me he was HUGE, over 7 1/2 pounds already! I hope she is wrong. My Strep B test came back positive. My EDD keeps moving around from 4/2 to 4/4 to 4/6 to 4/8. They keep coming back to either the 6th or the 2nd. So I guess I have about 2 weeks left but I am so tired of being pregnant. I want him here so bad! Next appointment is friday. Ill try to update then.

just what i need, a thread where i can talk about myself!

i am 36w4d. so anyway, appointment on monday went well. my blood pressure dropped from 162/110 to 150/98, still very high yes, but promising to the doc because it did not rise over 3 days. He still says the 29th (38 weeks) is the very last day that I'm "allowed" to be pregnant, and I go in tomorrow for another blood pressure check. Hopefully tomorrows numbers are okay enough that we don't have to induce tomorrow and i just go back on monday again. (monday and thursday are my appt. days)

having her anytime between monday the 24th and the 29th would be okay by me!

she looked good on NST on monday, growth ultrasound was good, she was measuring 36w1d at 36w2d and at a weight estimate of 6lbs 2oz. fluid levels were perfect and placenta looked great. so I'd love for her to bake another week at least, but I'll be meeting my baby in 10 days the most. of course i will keep you updated if it happens tomorrow!

by LMP I'm due april 5th, which means i'd be 37w4d instead of 36w4d, but i got pregnant on the pill (yeah, not sure how THAT happened) and first tri dating scan puts my edd at april 12th, and all my ultrasound measurements have been within a day of that, so I'm pretty sure its accurate. not that it really matters because I'm getting induced, but it would be nice to really be a week further along.

I'm still hoping she comes on her own, and lately I'm thinking this is possible. perhaps full moon vibes? i've been having gobs and gobs of mucous and some with stringy blood, and I'm really crampy. sometimes it feels like she's dropped, but she's still very much at my ribs at times, but i hear this is normal for non first timers.

i find out tomorrow how dilated i am and all that good stuff.. wish me luck!

ok enough about me.. how bout you?

Didn't have a cervical check at my appointment yesterday, but from my own poking around things are soft, but probably not dilated yet. Lots of BH but no "real" contractions. No lost plug yet. Dr. says he doubts I'll get to my EDD, since I'm running after my 3.5-year-old ;-). However, I'm not allowed to have the baby before...

Friday (3/21/08): would be 37 weeks according to my pregnancy.org calendar
Sunday (3/23/08): 37 weeks according to the wheel the Dr. uses
4/1/2008: is when they drop off our first batch of diapers from the service
4/6/2008: is the day after they complete this huge server move at DH's work that he's absolutely VITAL to

So I guess the earliest baby's allowed out is Sunday, 4/6/2008. I have a "feeling" about April 11, but last time I had that sort of "feeling" about July 8th, and was four days late on that ;-). Granted, if we'd let DS come when HE wanted to, it might have been the 8th!

April 6th would give us a full 2 weeks before our anniversary, so we could probably do our usual dinner. We'd probably bring baby with us though. ;-)

And, of course, I don't want to go too late. I really don't know what I'm going to do if I get to 42 weeks without going into labor. :-/ I'll probably just take the doc's advice at that point.

Well, I just got back from my weekly appointment, and I'm still not effaced or dialated. She said I was thinning last week and this week my cervix is a bit lower, so hopefully the ball is rolling, be it very slowly. Umm, I lost 4 lbs since last week??? They weren't worried though, the nurse remembered I was wearing a much heavier shirt last time and I took my shoes off this time, so they thought I was right on track. My stomach feels really heavy, with lots of pressure low in my stomach. Judging by that feeling, I was sure I would be starting to dialate, but no such luck! I have a feeling that I'm going to go to my due date, April 15th. That's okay, more time to prepare and get all of those last minute projects complete!

It's so exciting to hear how everyone else is doing!

I am 36 weeks tomorrow, we did a positioning check with the ultrasound and she's head down (the tech said pretty low too). She's been cooperating like this since about 30 weeks. I told the teach I feel her butt and back near my ribs, upon closer inspection it's her feet.

The CNM wanted me to come back next week for the GBS but I am waiting until April 1st, my DH will be on a business trip for 3 days next week. I pray she has his patience and doesn't come at that time. Our EDD is April 19th, naturally, we're anxious and excited first time parents who want to meet her sooner than later. I have feeling about 4-4-08 and my Tata's birthday is 4-6-08, so either of those work for me. Granted if she holds out until April 19th, it means a full paycheck because we're paid on the 15th and 30th of each month.

I am currently battling a nasty cold with a cough and congestion. I finally broke down and took some Tylenol yesterday. I can't sleep more than one hour at a time at night, I moved to the couch and that was helpful. I hope to get better sooner rather than later.

I wonder when I will get my cervix checked?

My little itty bitty update.

I had an ultrasound yesterday and baby was "estimated" at 6lbs 6oz, had perfect fluid and was measuring at 39 weeks for his noggin! Ouch! Another big headed kid! We did a non-stress test and that looked good too. I go back tomorrow for another NST and my GBS. I have to go back now weekly for ultrasounds and every 2 days for NST, whee, what fun.

i've got my 36 week appointment tomorrow - though technically i'm not 36 weeks till Sunday, based on LMP. We did have one u/s and it actually puts me at 36 weeks tomorrow. i wasn't charting the month i got pg (which is how i *got* pg... sigh) but the conception date i actually thought was most likely is nearly a week past my due date, and there's been no indication that my due date is off in that direction, and i want my homebirth, so i'm happy to take the earliest dates they'll give me as DD was a little early and DS was only 4 days late. plus, since we're unsure, i know my m/w will gladly give me a little leeway if i am to go late.

i haven't checked my own cervix, and my m/w is pretty hands-off so unless i begged her to check me (which i can live without) it's not likely to happen tomorrow. those checks always make me anxious for some reason - if there is progress then you're thinking it's going to happen really soon and get frustrated if it doesn't, if there's no progress you get discouraged thinking it'll be forever till the baby comes. Or i guess i should say *i* rather than *you* since that's what i mean i don't like getting checked in labor either - though i will probably ask her to check me at least once to see where baby's head is, because DS got his head quite stuck and ended up with a big 'ole squishy lump on his his head (aka subdermal hematoma), and it probably added close to 2 hours to my labor i'd guess, since that's about how long it took to shake him loose. once his head popped into place he literally started crowning and was born less than 15 minutes later.

i've been a *lot* more nesty this week, which means i've been running around a lot more, so the BH have picked up a lot. they're uncomfortable but not unbearable. this kid definitely is getting lower, but no way would i say s/he's dropped. by the end of the day gravity has done its job and baby is always way lower than where s/he started that morning, so hopefully at some point baby will just stay like that. not that i love that bowling ball between the legs feeling, but it does usually mean progress in the right direction!

i really want this baby to wait at least another week and a half because we're supposed to steam clean the carpets this weekend, and the weekend after my mom is coming to help me clean and to cook up a bunch of stuff for the freezer and help me manage the kids while i make a big run at Costco. So baby has to stay in till i'm done with all that. Then s/he is welcome to come any time. in fact, s/he's welcome to come on Sunday of that weekend once we're done with all our chores - that way my mom will already be here, DH won't be an hour away at work, DD won't be at school. so all we'll need is the m/w! i'm really hoping baby will be born on a weekend, and since the due date is a sunday (and that's the full moon) there's hope that i might just get my wish!

I'm 37 weeks 4 days. Baby is dropping, but not engaged yet. Last week, my midwife estimated the baby to be in the low 7 lb range. I have been trying to check my cervix, but I can't reach it. Not sure if that's because it's still really high or if my belly is too big to reach around. Back at 33 weeks, when I was having TONS of contractions during my worst asthma attacks, it was very soft and at least a fingertip dilated.

I am still having problems with my asthma and a cough that won't go away. And every time I cough, I pee myself, so I spend my days with a prefold between my legs. I still have the occasional BH contraction, but they seem to be slowing down. :

We're mostly ready for the baby. I've washed everything, although most of it still needs to be put away. My hospital bag is 3/4 packed. I've written my birth plan, but I still need to print it. I'd like to put more meals in the freezer, but we made a good start. So, we're not where my OCD self would like to be, but considering how sick we've all been, I'm actually pleased and feel good about our preparations.
