Let me preface this with I will talk to our allergist about this when we see him next month.

We've been doing a challenge with Buffalo yogurt for about a week and I was letting dd eat 3-6oz of it a day but one day she ate about 10oz in a 24 hour period and out of no where she started with severe vomiting (she did complain of a tummy ache a couple minutes before and laid down moaning about it) and complaining of an itchy throat. She complained of not being able to breathe out her nose and that her nose was burning but I attributed the nose thing to acid. I dosed her with several drugs (prevacid, tagament, benadryl, phenagrin (sp?) spaced over a 15 min period so it doesn't get thrown back up) that's become our standard regimen for failed trials which ends a reaction fairly quickly and she's back to normal within an hour or 2. I grabbed my stethoscope and listened and her airways were fine, the reaction started so quickly I gabbed the epi just in case because I was going to use it if I heard anything going on with her airways. (rarely have I felt we might need it)

She reacts to cow products with severe vomiting for hours on end that has resulted in needing IV fluids and meds and totally ripped up stomach and instant gastritis. Its the cow protein itself she's acting to as beef does the same thing and she's tested allergic to both beef and cows milk. She is fine with buffalo and has been eating buffalo meat for a couple years which is why we finally decided to try buffalo yogurt and later planned on buffalo mozzarella.

So, what do you think? Just a full bucket? I didn't let her have any yesterday and she had some this morning and seems fine. I'm waiting for a call from the allergist so I'll get his opinion too.

argh, I hate when this happens! I don't know if she's sick or its the dairy!

The acid has that "sick" stench but she seems otherwise fine. Today we ran into a neighbor she had been playing with and found out there sick with a fever of 102. I check dd and she's got a fever too that I totally missed! That might explain why the drugs are not working to well... I'm calling the Dr in the morning.
