My 2yo dd has a ton of food allergies. She has been doing great under our careful watch. Her height and weight are within a pretty normal range. Just now she was sitting next to me on the couch and she tilted her head back and she has what looks like an Adam's apple. I had my 5yo dd tilt back her head and I did not see the same thing. I tilted back my head and didn't feel what I saw on her. I just did some googling and saw that there is some relation between allergies and thyroid problems. Does it sound like my dd has a thyroid issue or can a lump there be normal? Gosh, I wish I had noticed this a week ago, we were just with our ped on Thanksgiving I hate the thought of taking her into that germ infested place now Any thoughts on this??

Thanks,

The only way to confirm or deny a diagnosis for Thyroid problems is a blood test. I personally have thyroid issues and when my thyroid is off, my alleriges go crazy!! So, there's a possible link there, but that doesn't automatically mean that your daughter has a thyroid problem.
