I am hoping the car seat gurus can help.

I am rearranging the car seats in my cars and need to install the Baby Trend Flex Loc in my 2007 Hyundai VeraCruz. It is in the center sear, next to my older daugter's rear facing Boulevard. There is no LATCH in the center seat so it will have to be installed with the shoulder belt. My car has locking seatbelts, but no matter how hard I try I cannot seem to get a tight lock. There is always enough slack that the base moves, well over the acceptable one inch.

The only way I can seem to get it to be stable is to run the belt through the belt slot and then double back through one side of the belt slot. Does this make any sense? Is this safe? I know this is not the way it is shown in the demo pictures, but is the only way I have been able to get a tight fit.

Any suggestions? I really appreciate the help.

it took me a couple hours and three people to get mine installed solid with the belt. Lots of pressing and pulling

Good times...
