My DH: had an ear infection and required antibiotics. Now, he's managed to get a genital yeast infection, "jock itch," I think they call it. He is taking probiotics, garlic and was using Lamisil (terbinafine hydrochloride cream 1%). It was static. No worse, no better...not itchy, but still a pink, slightly shiny spot.

Two days ago, he tried an apple cider vinegar dilution instead, after reading up on yeasties here. Now, it's red, raw and burning, itchy and moist. Oops.

This morning, post-shower, he put the Lamisil on it again.

AAAAAAAAAAACK!!! We need our sex life back!!!!!!

(Oh, and for the record, I got an ear infection too, from an upper respiratory infection at the same time. Post-abx, I thought I had a mild yeast infection and so I did a Monistat-1. No problems, except that now, one outer labia is kinda itchy sometimes. No visible irritation, nothing...just the same spot gets itchy. I too am taking garlic, probiotics, and irregularly prenatals. Any thoughts on that, either?)

When I was pg w/ds 1 dh and I passed yeast back and forth. What worked best for us was myhr tincture. Make sure to dilute it w/hot water or it burns like he**! dip cotton balls in your diluted myhr and then apply.Myhr kills yeast on contact. Hope this helps.
Don't use ACV for yeast, it will feed the yeast, try regular white vinegar. Also make sure he cuts back on sugars for a little while if he eats sugar and cut back on carbs. GSE kills yeast but do not put it straight on the skin, it *must* be diluted or he could put a few drops in water or something else and drink it but be forwarned that stuff is gross, I drank it in water once and I was sick to my stomach afterward.

Wash all undies/clothing that touches the yeasty areas/towels in hot water, with some vinegar thrown in the wash and dry on hot to make sure it doesn't come back.

dh has yeast all the time, straight vinegar works great when he remembers it.
