I am 25 weeks, and at my ultrasound just a week ago, the baby was frank breech (butt down toward my hooha, legs folded up with feet by her head in my right ribs). My belly was pretty high up, and I felt quite crowded internally.

Then yesterday, I felt quite a bit of movement, especially lower down. I felt the need to empty my bowels (here's the TMI part!) and it was like I couldn't stop! I would think I was done, wash my hands, and before I could even leave the bathroom I'd have to go again. Not diarrhea, either. After about four times in a row, I wondered what was going on (especially since it felt like the baby was tapdancing on my bowels). I went and looked at my belly in the mirror, and my belly looked lower on my body. I asked DH and he agreed that it was lower. Today I have had the same "never done pooping" phenomenon. Since this began less than 36 hours ago I have gone at least 7-8 times. My poor booty hurts!

So what I'm wondering is... has anyone else experienced this? Is this the baby "dropping" more into my pelvis, or is it too early for that? Or maybe she has moved into a footling breech position and is literally stomping the crap out of me? Sorry to be so graphic... I've just never been good at telling what position baby is in, with either of my previous 2 pregnancies or with this one.

Your post made me giggle. It could just be that the babe totally rearranged him/herself and allowed your intestines some extra room to move things along. I don't remember the baby dropping causing more pooping. It more so made my pubic bone feel sore and allowed me to breath better.
