Hello,

I have 10 month baby.
He already received two jabs of GSK Infanrix hexa but we moved to another country and don't have GSK here.

They have vaccines from another company (Pasteur) which is also global well established company but still..

What is the general practice?
Can we give him Pasteur substitute without hesitation instead of GSK?

We asked 2 doctors of course but it was rather disappointing as they said OK at first and then they were swayed by our concern and said let's wait. But we can't wait forever (he's already delayed with 3rd dose as you see).

You may want to post this in the Vaccinating on Schedule forum since that is what you are trying to do.

Good luck with your vaccinations.

@tomstoj - what concerns you about using a different brand of vaccine?

You are probably better off with another brand, the aluminum content of Infanrix Hexa is very high and well above the safe daily level for an infant of around 25 to 30 mcg at 820 mcg plus the 120 mcg from the hib portion of the vaccine. That's a whopping 940 mcg of aluminum.
