went pretty good. baby was all over the place runnin from the doppler, lol. weight good, measurement good.

my bp was up a lil bit tho. coulda just been anxiety about the labs....

mw is having me start the brewer diet, and going back on may 5 for a bp check and a followup US, then my next regular appt, more labs and class is on may 11.

Glad to hear it went well!
The BP could definitely have been from the anxiety. . .I know that happens to me.

I have my appt tomorrow. Hope its easy and normal!

I had an appt last Thursday and the babe was running from the doppler too! She finally got about a good 6 seconds in

I hope your BP settles down.. do you remember if it was the top (systolic) or bottom (diastolic) that was high? I ask because typically white coat hypertension results in a higher diastolic but a more normal systolic. Don't hesitate to check it at the grocery store and drugstore automatic machines as well while you're out and about... that will give you a truer reading than just once every four weeks at an appt.

I do this, too. I carry a wallet card and I write down my blood pressure every time I go to the grocery store. I tend to have rather low blood pressure (90s over 50s is pretty normal for me) and my husband is an EMT and says that if they got a blood pressure like that one someone on the ambulance, they'd assume shock and treat for it with IVs etc. So I started recording my measurements, hoping that if something ever did happen to me, they'd have a record of what "normal" is for me

i got a wrist cuff yesterday that i'll use the next several days and take back with me to my next appt to review the numbers. hub being an emt-i can check it for me anytime he is home, but his cuff stinks- literally. i smell rubber on my arm after each time, lol.

130/88 was my first at the beginning of my appt. before the class.
138/88 was second reading before the mw gave me the brewer info right before i left.
