Well, I suppose if they are driving her bonkers, you could put hydrocortisone on them. But that's yucky. I always give my guys a nice aveeno (oatmeal) poultice on their itchies. There is also an herbal rememdy. Let me go look it up for you

My ds (19 months) also gets really bad reactions to bug bites and we live in south florida where the skeeters are relentless.... - a few suggestions after trying EVERYTHING:

Make a paste of baking soda and water to the consistency of toothpaste - cover the bite - this soothes the affected area.

Also I usually rub it with plain ol' witch hazel. we go through it like water. it really helps with the itching.

I also got a salve from Burts Bees called "Res-Q Remedy." It is all natural and works great! I think it also helps him to stop itching when we put the "medicine on it." almost psychological as well as physical.
