My ds' toenails have always been.... brittle and thin I guess. I'm not sure how to explain it. But my question is whether or not toe nails can be a signal that something is missing from his diet? Perhaps this is a question for another thread, but any input on this would be helpful....
(a better description of his nails are something like this... his little toe nails are all tiny and grow long and thin over the top of his toe before they break off--I've never really had to clip his little toes; his big toes are more the issue because the nail that extends past the toe is always catty-wompas and growing jagged or off one side and not the other... then somehow parts of it get snagged on something then broken off; his fingernails are all thin and grow long quickly... he has taken to chewing them down... to which I don't know if that's a sign of stress or his way of preventing me from clipping them... his fingernail beds are really flat and the nails are pretty thin)...
This may be a silly question but I appreciate any input about these things. Thanks in advance!
