I have about 4 sores on the tip and bottom of my tongue. They look like canker sores, but I've never had them on my tongue before. The 1st one appeared on Saturday and they don't seem to be going away yet, and they are really painful! Oddly they are all on the left side of my tonue or the tip. None on the right.

Is there some wierd illness this could be, or just plain ol' canker sores? And more importantly, how do I get them to go away or at least stop hurting so bad. I'm having difficulty talking and eating b/c it's so painful.

TIA -

What were you eating on Friday night/Saturday?
I get these every once in awhile and it usually my tongue reacting to something I ate(especially stuff that I like to suck, like suckers)

I'm suspicious of the almond/ raw cashew/ cranberry mix I was eating on Friday. My tongue felt funny while I was eating it. I've suspected a cashew intolerance for awhile now, but I've never had this kind of reaction before.

How do I get rid of it? Its driving me nuts!

As far as I know, you can't do anything. Sores in your mouth tend to heal fairly quickly, compared to topical sores. A couple of days eating/drinking stuff that isn't too irritating to your mouth and it should heal up. I don't think that anything could be eaten or applied to make it heal faster.
Well, maybe honey..or vitamin c/zinc

No, no diabetes here. Though your post got me to consider yeast as a possible culpruit. Thanks.
