Hello all,
I need some help from some of you creative mamas out there!

I went to the Malden Mills outlet store today to take advantage of a remnant sale they were having on fleece...10$ for 30 pounds!! Very exciting.
Well, now I have all of this wonderful fleece in my house and I'm not sure what to do with it. Most of the pieces are about the size of a winter scarf.

What types of projects would you all do with this? Do you have any links with directions/patterns? I am a new sewer so needs to be pretty easy stuff.

Thanks!

Wow, that's a great deal. How much space does 30 lbs take up?

Ideas:
Scarves, mittens, top doublers and soakers, fleece quilts or blankets, top or bottom layer for mama pads, color-blocked kids' pjs or outerwear, hats, fleece house slippers, diaper covers...

HTH!

Thanks for the ideas!!

Thirty pounds takes up way too much space!!! It is two huge garbage bags full...larger bags than the black type of yard garbage bags.

The outlet store is in Lawrence, Ma only 1/2 hour from my parent's house!!

You could make little baby hats (if you have enough), knock off taggie toys, baby booties, sew pieces together to make the babywearing poncho on gypsymama, sew pieces together and add velcro to make a swaddle blanket, sew some pieces together and then add some batting or another layer of fleece and then sew with a piece of denim to make a changing pad, doll pillows, hmmm, can't think of anything else...

if the pieces are pretty small, I would cut a whole bunch of same-size squares and sew them together into a quilt. then you can snip all of the seam allowances to give it a soft rag look--it would be so cozy and pretty too. I haven't done this with fleece but I did it with Dd's old recieving blankets and it turned out great!
