<p>i had a D&C on November 10, after losing my baby at 9.5 weeks.  at the time, my HCG was only at 4000, and they couldn't see a fetus on the ultrasound, so it had probably happened earlier.  i had my HCG checked a week later, but never did hear the results.  i bled like a normal period for a week after the D&C.  BF and i started dtd a week later. </p>

<p>i've had trouble finding info online, but could i say the day of the D&C was like CD1 of my cycle, and hope that if i ovulated this cycle, it would have been around the "normal" time?  i didn't really notice any fertile cm, but did have a bit of cramping that felt like ovulation pains. if i was having regular cycles, i would have expected AF to come today.  i'm really hoping we might have gotten pg again this month, but i know the chances of this probably aren't that great, and my cycle will most likely not be regular for awhile, right?</p>

<p>wishful thinking, but i bought pg tests today...i'm so tempted to use one tomorrow, but i probably shouldn't get my hopes up.  should i test?  or just wait longer, and see if i get my period? </p>

<p>I've read that you are supposed to count your D&C as CD1. I think everyone's experiences vary as to the cycle returning to normal. I've only had natural losses, and my always-regular cycle has faithfully returned to normal each time. Unfortunately, I've never been one of those people who is super fertile after a mc and gets pregnant right away, but it seems there are a lot who are. <p>i haven't tested yet, no af yet.  i do have lower back ache and bloating that feels like cd1 of my cycle, but nothing yet...i'm gonna see if i can hold out a few more days before i test. </p>

<p>Since you didn't notice any CM you might have had an anovulatory cycle.  BD away this cycle, I bet your body will be back on track!</p>

<p>I too was confused about whether or not the D&C counted as cycle day one.  I didn't bleed afterward but started very "period" like bleeding 9 days after-- so was that cycle day 1 or day 9??</p>

<p>thank you, ladies.  yeah, if there's an upside to this, at least now i will know when i should ovulate, and if i do get pregnant, will know my dates.  also good to know my body is back on track so soon.  was hopeful, but i knew it was a longshot.  was hard seeing the blood too, just brings back such bad memories.  i was already having a hard day, with it being the one month anniversary.  oh well, onward and upward, hopefully this will be the month.</p>
