My LO is nearly 5 months old, and i'm wondering if it's time to figure out how to get her to sleep without swaddling. For naps she does great in her own bed because I guess the mattress is firmer? I don't know.
The problem is at night I put her to sleep in our bed, and somehow she keeps ending up on her stomach. Our mattress is new so I don't think it dips, and it's still fairly firm as far as adult beds go, so I don't know how she does it. My concern is that she can roll onto her stomach without her hands, but can't roll back again when she's swaddled, and can't lift her head up as well.
She always wakes up as soon as it happens- and as such, wakes me up- but it's making me nervous just the same.
She absolutely cannot sleep unswaddled, she gets one hand out and it's instantly rubbing her face or in her mouth and she's wide awake.
Any suggestions? DH suggested the sleep positioner (a gift, we've never used it), but the idea of that in bed with us irritates me beyond belief.
