Is 1 year old too young to introduce beeswax block crayons & watercolor?
My ds loves doodling..........

My son's been using crayons and paint since he was 10-11 months old...he loves it! We use the stockmar block crayons and they are perfect for his little hands!

Let him go at it, as long as he doesn't eat the crayons or paintbrushes. I think that painting might be a bit much for a 1 yr old. Keep it simple. It would be better to start with the block crayons then move into the painting when he's closer to 2 yrs.

You might consider sidewalk chalk too. That involves a lot of arm motion, body motion, and outdoor play.

i just introduced the block crayons & he's not quite sure what to do with them...
a few weeks ago we were visiting great grandmother & she broke out the watercolors & he loved it...
i wish i would have purchaced the stick beeswax crayons instead of the block...as he is more familiar with pens, seeing me write...lol.........

DD is at a similar stage. She loves to color, BUT she eats crayons. Are there any chewproof alternatives?
