Is there any way to make the two compatible? Last night I fell asleep while nursing DS 2.5 and woke up screaming like a mad woman as he ground his teeth on my nipple. I seriously thought I was going to lose my nipple permanently. I ended up screaming directly in his ear

It was excruciating. He didn't wake up at all, just whined a bit and rolled over, thankfully, but now I am terrified to let him fall asleep nursing again.
There is no visible damage to my nipple, which I am shocked by, as he just clamped down harder and harder as I tried to pry him off, and eventually I had to get a piece of his cheek in between his teeth so he was biting his own cheek in order to let go. It was the most horrible nursing experience I have had with him so far.
