Just wondering if anyone else has had kids whose top teeth come in first. Right now my 9.5 month old is about to get his top 4 teeth. They are ALMOST through the gums, but there are no signs of teeth on the bottom.

FWIW, my daughter got one tooth on the bottom at 12 months, the rest came in the normal order after that.

I don't have direct experience, but I have heard that it's perfectly normal to do so. Congrats on the new chompers!

Yup, while there are norms for how baby teeth come in not all babies follow those! My 22 mth old is currently teething his last tooth - the lefthand incisor on the bottom. He's got his molars and everything with just a space next to his bottom two teeth - waiting for that incisor! We had my older DS at the ped dentist and the dentist peeked in the baby's mouth and said, "Yup, that's weird and I've never seen it before but baby teeth do pretty much what they want so I'm not surprised" and went on to say he saw the tooth under the gum so no worries.

Good luck and hopefully happy teething to you!
