Hi there mamas,
I am new to Toronto and am looking for some like minded AP mamas to meet. I live in the Annex on Palmerston and I have a 13 month old girl. We would love to join a play group, or just hang out at a park with people who care about raising their children lovingly and naturally .

Hope to hear from you

Hello!

I am a soon to be Toronto mamma and would love to meet up and get a playgroup started. I have been living in Vancouver for the past few years and there is an awesome playgroup that we just started going to this summer, and it has been so great.
We are in the midst of selling our place in Vancouver and looking for a new home somewhere in T.O. Our plan is to be there by the end of the month.
Just saying that freaks me out a bit! We just found out last Friday that we are moving, so life is going to be very busy over the next few weeks.
Anyways, I'm rambling...sorry! My dd and I are definitely in for the playgroup.

Hello and welcome to Toronto! I live at Queen and Bathurst and my son is almost 3.5. I don't think we can take on a play group right now but I can tell you some great places to meet great parents. And if you have any questions feel free to ask me.

Dufferin Grove Park (Dufferin south of Bloor) - great playground and fully shaded wading pool, communal pizza ovens, organic farmers market, lots of other activities. Check http://www.dufferinpark.ca/

Trinity Bellwoods Community Centre (Queen and Crawford) - Saturday mornings the gym is open to kids with balls, large Little Tike-type toys, trampoline, hula hoops, etc. A life saver in the winter. They have a great tot pool with free swim times most afternoons. AND a great playground just north of the building with a wading pool.

Kensington Market - another good playground and wading pool (your daughter might not be into them yet but it'll come), great shopping, street food, people watching. And look for the Winter Solstice Parade of Lights - lots of fun!

Children's Place (Bathurst and Dupont) - I've never been there but used to live up there pre-baby and heard it's a great place.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head and I've got to get back to work!
