I was really excited for my MW apt today, but as I pulled into the parking lot I got a call from the secretary saying she had to cancel to head to a birth. It's less of a big deal later in pregnancy, when you can just drink some OJ and make the baby go crazy, but at this point, I was so looking forward to hearing the HB.<br><br>
Just needed to vent.

Thanks ladies! I just got a call--she's rescheduling her office hours for Thursday, so I suppose I can wait that long! I think I may try to get a recording of the HB with my iPhone so I can "listen" whenever I want.

That's happened to me twice! (not with so little notice, though) Here's hoping your Thursday appt happens as scheduled and you get to hear the heartbeat.

Sorry, I totally know how you feel. I had an appointment scheduled 2 weeks ago and right as the midwife showed up she got called away for a birth. We haven't been able to reschedule for 2 more weeks. I suppose that this is really the one big downer of having a small midwife practice. I have 2 midwives (although I really only see one of them) so if they're at a birth (they do about 50 a year), I'm out of luck.<br><br>
Next time it happens I'll have to try to be excited that somewhere there's a new baby being born with the best midwife support ever!<br><br>
Of course, with these hormones, that'll probably make me cry too....
