My arms were my sling with DD (who will be 4yo right after this babe is born), but that's not going to work with #2.

I know nothing about babywearing accept that I do not feel comfortable wearing a child on my back in anything less than an Ergo (or something with a frame). But I'm mostly concerned with front wearing when the baby is new and up to about 6 months at least.

I'm looking at the mamatoto site, but ideas and opinions are welcome.

Do you have a NINO in your area? That is a good place to start. You can go and check out a variety of carriers to see what you want and they will show you how to use them. You can go to the NINO section of thebabywearer and see if there is one in case you aren't already aware.
I think a stretchy wrap, a pouch, a ring sling, or a mei tai can all be great options for a newborn. Myself, I love love love a stretchy wrap for the newborn stage -- so cuddly and so comfy and easy to nurse in! But different people definitely have different preferences.

www.thebabywearer.com is also a great source of information.
IMO, moby wraps are the best newborn carrier/sling, I looooved mine and I admit that I am not typically a wrap girl either.
No NINO group here. However, I have a lot of friends who have used wraps, slings and huge pieces of fabric to make their own wraps, so I do have resources. I will look into a Moby to start.
