Last night I felt this thing come out. I ran into the bathroom and wiped and there was this blob of really tough mucus stuff on the tp. It was transparent but a very light brown/tannish color. Consistency was tough, more tough than a mucus plug. I poked and pulled at it and it was hard to seperate. The size was about the size of a quarter.

Anyone had this before? Any idea what it is/was? I had a period 5-16 to 5-21, stopped taking yasmin 5-26, then had another from 6-4 to 6-7. I've had a tinge of pink or brown about three times since then but only like once a day when I've wiped.

Any thoughts would be appreciated....

Hello there!

I really don't know what your "tough mucus blob" would be, other than just some left-over fertile quality mucus that never dripped out and rather just dried up and then came out. Seems logical to me, but I'm no expert. I guess what I'm really saying is that I have no idea but I wouldn't worry about it. Also, and most importantly, I hate it so much when I post something and don't get any replies. So I'm replying... sorry I'm not too helpful!

This sounds like a "mucus plug" that some women lose each month at the start of their fertile period- tough, rubber-band-like consistency almost. Have you just started your fertile mucus flow? If so that's what it is- some women literally form a mucus plug that gets released at the beginning of their fertile time.
