My LO recieved a Farmin' Fun Playset from Learning Curve (John Deer) variety. It is quite cute (and my DH loves it) but the animal figures smell like shower curtain...... made in China, planning on calling the company today, but didn't know if others had any past experience or knowledge. Thanks!

Okay just got off the phone from the company, when I asked she said that they were BPA free and PVC free when I asked specifically about those items, but I don't know her voice just sounded so off-handed, when I asked for documentation she said that they do not have anything posted on their website because it is a "trade secret". Any thoughts? she said they were made of poly-propoplene (I'm probably spelling that incorrectly)

I know next to nothing about plastics, but here's a Wiki page about polypropylene:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polypropylene#Health_concerns

However, I do know that the type of plastic used, and the presence or absence of BPA and PVC, in a product (especially a toy) is not a "trade secret" and that's just total BS.
