Confluence Kitchen in Auburn, CA http://www.confluencekitchenandmarket.com , not really a sit-down type of place, although they do have a few small tables, it's more of a take-away deli and they have a lot of TF frozen, ready-to-heat meals to take home. I wish more of their meat was organic and they used less white flour, but mostly it's really good stuff.

There's also Three Stone Hearth in Berkeley, CA http://www.threestonehearth.com/ , which I think (I haven't been there, too far) isn't exactly a restaurant in the sense that you can drop by whenever, but you become a member and order ahead for pickup or delivery. AFAIK, they're full-on TF, and one of the founders is the author of Full Moon Feast.

They only let cool people live here. Or maybe it is the water, they drug it to make us all cool.

Actually, I bet there are TF restaurants in other areas with a high awareness of local foods and lots of people wanting to eat organic, whole foods, but we have so many people here and grow such a huge variety of food that there just might be a better chance for TF-friendly food establishments to survive than in areas where the local/organic food scene isn't as prominent.

There's another in my general area I forgot to mention, Cozmic Cafe in Placerville http://www.thecozmiccafe.com/, they're more vegetarian oriented but do have some things with dairy, eggs or fish. There's another in Auburn, Pacha Mama's, that I think is mostly vegan but also organic, whole foods with a lot of local ingredients. And I just remembered a TF-friendly brewpub in Ukiah, CA, Ukiah Brewing Co. http://www.ukiahbrewingco.com/restaurant/menu/ , they're all organic with a lot of local ingredients including meat, eggs and dairy (not raw, and they have plenty of non-TF stuff too, like fried foods and soda).

Oh, and the deli at my food co-op! BriarPatch Community Market http://www.briarpatch.coop/ . Again, plenty of white flour products (pasta, pizza dough, etc.), but also lots of organic, whole, local foods ready-to-eat.

I was going to say to look for local organic food restaurants. They tend to be pretty TF friendly!! We have several here in the Catskill mt's of NY - total boonies but I know of 3. One is a farm and only open occasionally. One is an actual cafe and the other is a cafe that's part of a farm store.

In the captial region of NY I know of 2 places that serve local foods - mostly organic.
