Nice tea to support nursing moms

review by crunchychristianmama

This tea has a nice, mild, licorice flavor. It's nice with some honey in it. I didn't notice much of a difference in my milk supply while drinking it, but I also didn't drink large quantities of it or take it very regularly. It did seem to bring my milk in a little more quickly though when I drank it after my second daughter was born.

ProsCons
nice flavordidn't notice much difference in milk supply

Very soothing

review by mhemingson

I'm not a fan of anise, but this tea has such a mild flavoring that it's barely noticeable. It is very soothing, especially at the end of the day. I did not notice a difference in my milk supply, but I wasn't drink 3-5 cups everyday. This is a good tea and is sourced with quality ingredients.

ProsCons
Mild flavor, soothing, organic Must drink large quantities to see results, pricey

tastes good and seems to work

review by matope

Not the bitter tea you would expect. I'm a huge fan of traditional medicinals and really enjoy this tea in general. I didn't have a problem with milk supply, maybe it's helped by this, I really don't know, but if you're worried about price I often find coupons for their teas in magazines like readers digest and baby talk!

ProsCons
enjoyablehigh price

HATE the taste but worked great

review by ashleyb87

I HATE the taste of black licorice. That is exactly what this tasted like. One cup though and I was able to pump more. I have oversupply issues but I was trying to pump extra for a baby in need and wanted to increase my afternoon supply to get another pumping session in while my son napped and I only needed to drink 1 cup of this and I had a milk explosion. Like with all Galactagogues it's important to find out what the cause of your issue actually is and use something that will help with that (I HIGHLY recommend the book Breastfeeding Mother's Guide to Making More Milk). This may not work for everyone but is likely to help. If you like the taste of black licorice it can't hurt unless you have overproduction issues/plugged ducts/mastitis :)

ProsCons
Helps increase milkBlack licorice taste
