Now that DD has two full teeth, I'm thinking it's time to brush her teeth, but I haven't seen any organic natural toothpaste for babies/toddlers. Is there really a difference between regular toothpaste and "training" toothpaste? If it's really important that we use training toothpaste where can I find natural organic training toothpaste? TIA

We don't use toothpaste at all. I haven't found any that don't have glycerin. When I was doing research after ds2 had to have teeth pulled, I found that it coats the teeth & prevents saliva from remineralizing them.

We use that, too. But I'd think water would be enough for a baby.

Other than the nasty nasty taste, baking soda makes a good tooth scrubber. For adults at least.

Water is fine when they're a baby. Then I start using Spry Tooth Gel (doesn't have glycerin) which has xylitol and fluoride-free. And then when they can spit well I use a teeny tiny tiny amount (so little that you can hardly see it on the toothbrush) of Squigle toothpaste w/ fluoride and xylitol. I buy them both from Lucky Vitamin (for the longest time hardly anyone carried them online). Squigle (and the miniscule amount to use) is recommended by my AP holistic family dentist (she also bf her twins in public until they were 3
).
