New gardener here...

I was wondering if any one knows if I can transplant from my garden to my mom's garden, she only planted half of hers. I have pumpkins, cucumbers, squash, corn, turnips, beets, cauliflower, broccoli & carrots, do any of those not transplant well? Thanks for any advice.

I think if you did it, you woul have to make sure you got the whole root ball, and transplanted them and watered them well , and do it all in one day..one trip type thing. I don't know as they would do well if you yanked them out, then let them sit overnight. They might die.

I woud suggest you try ONE of each plant, and see how they do.

I wouldn't try transplanting any root crops--turnips, beets, carrots. I've heard that corn doesn't like to be moved either. The other plants might do fine. A problem I've run into with transplanting plants from the garden is that my garden soil is very loose and easily crumbles away from the roots whenever I've tried transplanting anything.
