Traveling with Charlies

We are planning on heading home over the 4th and this will be our first travels with cloth. We are planning on washing at MILs house. We are using Charlies and when we first got it we had to do the stripping wash. Am I going to need to do that with her washer before we wash diapers or will a couple loads without being stripped be ok? I guess I am just afraid that if I just start with a Charlies and diapers wash it will strip all the residue off the washer and into the diapers. Any input?
