Hello all! I am new to MDC, and I am a full-time WOTH mommy. Could you tell me about any active groups that have a meeting schedule that would be compatable with a 9-5 job? My son is almost 10 months old and not in daycare, but it's becoming increasingly important to me that he play with other kids-or at least be around them! Thanks for any help!

Cary API group used to meet in the evening times on the last thursday of every month. But, they were not meeting regularly the last i heard. maybe someone else would know better than me about that.

we've had a lot of change with API leadership in both Chapel Hill and in Cary, I think over the past year. So, not sure what is up. The Raleigh group is still pretty active, perhaps?

The Raleigh API group meets on the 4th Monday of the month at 10:30am so that probably wouldn't work for you huh?

There is a group that just started up called Triangle Natural and Attached Families. PM me if you want the website. A fab mama (JoannaNC) started it up. She usually has playdates at her house during the day on weekdays but there are also weekend playdates and potlucks that happen often.

If you're nursing, LLL often has pm groups and many AP mamas attend those, but it's not limited to AP mamas, just breastfeeding, of course. Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill all have pm meetings.

There's an AP email list for folks in Chapel Hill and Durham at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Chapel...tiveParenting/ . Most playgroups do meet during the week, but there have been some mom meetings (stitch-n-btch) in the evenings and there's always something informal going on. If you join you could just ask if anybody wants to get together on the weekend or whenever is good for you.

I didn't realize there were still Raleigh API meetings. Where are they located?

I used to be part of the AP forum but I think it's defunct now?
