a 2 month old died after a parent rolled on him in the night. in the comments section people are calling the parents murderers, ignorant, and saying all kinds of horrible things. most people still think it is strictly wrong to co-sleep! and when this happens and gets in the news it does not help any. some people are actually saying the parents should be charged with murder! no one gets so riled up when a baby dies of sids in a crib. it's saddening that fear is a big part of why parents tend to do things like cio. fear of sleeping with the baby, baby is not sleeping well in the crib, so they have to teach it to sleep.

How tragic.. I wonder if there were extenuating circumstances around it, such as drugs/ alcohol/ medication?

that's terrible. i'm sure the parents already feel like they have a "life sentance" of grief. they certainly don't need to be criminaly charged. people are so horrible to think they deserve to be punished. i think it's safe to say they're punishing themselves enough.

i'm also curious about the circumstances though. any more details? it's really surpsrising to me that they actually rolled onto their baby without waking up...is that really honestly what happened???
Sadly, I don't think we'll ever get the truth.

Not like anyone will will admit they were drunk, took sleeping pills, etc. No way to gather evidence.

well the story was updated again to say the baby slept on a pillow between the parents, and slipped down the pillow into his father's back.
