I've got a pair of very trim wool pants from Snoogie snaps. It's a very stretchy wool, too and not felted at all. I use them for the buddy at night over a knitted soaker to keep his legs warm and to keep my sheets dry! Where can I get more like this? Anyone have an idea of what kind of wool it is?!

it sounds like its wool interlock (which looks unfelted since it felts smooth). I think any wahm that has wool interlock and makes pants could custom make you a pair but Im no help with the links other than to send ya back to snoogiesnaps

I got two pair at SugarBearBums last fall... one was not felted at all (I don't think) but nice and stretchy like sweat pants... I don't know if she's open anymore or taking orders, but she mailed super quickly and priced her work very fairly. (I bought 2nds, but they were well described and totally functional and marvelous...kwim?)

ETA: I found the receipt... one was Celedon Merino Wool, the other Green Wool Interlock. A forest=y green one is the stretchier soft pr. The other pair was more like a wool flannel and was more of a celery color. I def prefer the stretchier dark green.

between her description and mine, maybe you can figure out which color is which wool. :LOL (b/c I can't o dear I'm so lame )

Ok..I think it must be wool interlock that is the stretchier softer pair. That is what I need then. Wool interlock pants!! These babies are amazing..I don't suppose I'll be lucky enough to get them for the $15 bucks or so I paid for them on the TP, though, huh?! Off to do an ISO!!

right now I'd *love* a serger more than a sewing machine at the moment (because I just want to serge up some double-layer organic sherpa wipes, serge up some wool for nice, trim covers, serge together two layers of oc interlock for flats, etc).. .. anyway...

I got my ov at The Fabric Farm.

And patterns.... (ack... I have a few, but... they were all purchased with the 'oh, I'll do this when I'm finally not a WOHM mentality)... : VB AIO, VB side-snap cover, PooPockets, and I even got a training pants pattern... and I guess maybe that's all that I have for diaper-making... (I did get the reversible pants pattern on the OSDS page too... I heard it's good for wool pants since the pattern is cut for cloth booty)

Oh wow...reversible pants pattern..that's what I need then! Don't you think that'd be soo cool w/ that cotton knit interlock stuff thats around T-shirt necks for cuffs on the pants! So they'll stay put, but not bind like elastic. Perfect for pj's! That's it..I'm gonna get some fabric!!

jloveladycmc--there is a wool interock co-op on diaperfabrics2 yahoogroup, if you can wait that long, its cheaper than osds

You can get wool binding (cant recall that co-op list at the moment) but I am not sure if its ribbed or not

I don't know if you got your answer or not but just in case (and for anyone else)

Tykie has awesome wool pants. I have a pair from SnoogieSnaps and a pair from Tykie and they are similar in weight. Snoogie's might be a little lighter but they're still both fantastic.

HTH!
