Myself and DH went to Budapest with DD when she was 3.5 months old. It was at the beginning of December. Because I was exclusively bf, it was a doddle as I didn't have to worry about bottles. And we co-slept for the trip so didn't have to worry about a travel cot. All we needed outside of clothes was her sling, car seat and stroller (I was just getting used to the sling at the time).

We flew and I was worried about it at first. But little miss was wonderful. This really is a nice time to go away with the babies. And babies tend to pretty good at adapting to new places, especially since you co-sleep as she won't have to adapt to a new bed.

Have a fab time!

I flew from DC to Atlanta when Nathan was 4 months old to meet DH at his 2 week business conf. We all did great. Go for it.

It's easier than you'd think. Your baby won't mind a strange bed with you right there. You don't have to think at all about food for the baby. We've used disposable diapers when we travel because we find it easier, but I know plenty of people use their cloth on the road. Just bring your most comfortable carrier (or 2) and maybe a stroller.

We just went to a funeral about an hour away with a 2 month old and it went great. I bf and we cosleep, so it really wasn't much different than home. I was surprised at how well the trip went.

: The only differences were my babe was a 3 week old and the funeral was about 5 hours away. Baby had no clue anything was different. Cloth was no problem, we just used the hotel washer and dryer. Worked out wonderfully.
