I started AF last night, and have no idea when I might ovulate. I have the ovulation kit and don't know when to start it cause my periods are irregular. : Now, when are you supposed to have sex? after you ovulate, or before, or during or all? I really do not have a clue. I'm new at ttc. My other 3 were a pleasant surprise, and now that it seems like I'm "trying", that it is close to impossible. Any suggestions?

I stongly recommend buying the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" and starting to monitor your fertility signs.

Until you get the book you cannot know for sure when you ovulate.

For now, you should have sex every day that you have cervical mucous that is the consistancy of raw egg whites. It is very stretchy, very lubricative, and is the best environment for sperm. Generally women will have at least 2 days of egg white cervical mucous (EWCM) before ovulation.

You cannot get pregnant from sex after ovulation... the sperm needs to be waiting for the egg when you ovulate because the egg only lives about 12 hours and if not fertilized dies before even reaching the uterus.

Let me know if you have more specific questions
