As of today, I'm 4 weeks along. I still can't believe it!

I've already calculating the exact 12-week point when we will start telling people, and I'm really looking forward to when I start to show after that.

But I'm trying hard to live in the moment and enjoy where I am right now because I'm sure it will go fast, especially when looking back on it.

Is anyone else trying to consciously live in the moment? And do you have any good techniques for doing that?

Yes. I know what you mean about staying in the moment... Because of what happened last time I have all these conflicting emotions. Fear of another miscarriage, cynicism, crazy hope, exitement, happiness... usually all within 30 seconds or so!

I think you and I have almost exactly the same LMP/DD/etc, I was 4 weeks yesterday-- you're going from LMP not conception, right?

I am trying to focus. I know that in a week or so I'll start feeling icky-- exhausted, dizzy, nauseous. Right now, I feel good. I can just be happy and calm; know that no matter what happens, I am pregnant right this minute. Know that my husband and I have concieved twice now, that we're fertile. I'm trying to stop thinking ahead more than a few days and just enjoy this... but for someone as neurotic and analyticial as I am, it ain't easy!

P.S. Does the possibity of giving birth on Leap Day intrigue you?

Yep: I'm taking it a day at a time too, for the same reasons as Mara. Don't force it though - if your pregnancy flows in a smooth rollercoaster, then that's just the way it's meant to be.

I, too, am trying to live in the moment. This is my seventh pregnancy, fifth living child. And also my last pregnancy. I want to enjoy and treasure every moment I can.

I'm taking time each evening after the children go to bed to write in my baby-within's journal and concentrate on the life growing within me. I turn on some relaxing music, light a candle and meditate. As soon as I find my dvd, I'll add prenatal yoga to the routine.

Yeah, I hit 4 weeks completed yesterday too! Yay us!
I'm going from LMP, even though it doesn't make logical sense to me.
But it's the scale everyone uses, so that's what counts!

Yes!!! That would be very cool. But I'm hoping for my actual due date (2/26) because it was my late sister's birthday.

Ooh, good ideas! DH and I have been taking turns writing in a journal every 1-2 days. That definitely helps me appreciate what's happening right now. And I just ordered a pregnancy pilates DVD so maybe that will help too.
