I just had a d&c 3 weeks ago and I'm waiting for my period. We'd like to ttc the next cycle. Has anyone got pregnant right away and has it been ok. I've heard it is ok to try afp, but I don't want to risk it.

I got pregnant with my babe without having a period after a miscarriage. The main reason the md's want you to wait is#1 - 3 weeks for you to heal after the d & c, #2 - so that you are emotionally ready to ttc again. If you are ready, go for it! I had a d & c and waited one period and got pregnant again immediately!

Thanks so much for the response...I feel so ready to have another baby and be pregnant again...I think we are going to try after my first period.
